Erwin Lefoll

Erwin is a PhD student at the ETH Chair of Development Economics since July 2020. His research focuses on socio-economic sustainability issues in the global supply chains of cocoa.

Prior to starting his PhD, Erwin worked as a research assistant at the ETH Chair of Development Economics, where he was involved in projects on youth labour markets, fair trade consumption in Switzerland and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes in African communities. During his studies at the University of Lausanne, he also worked as a research assistant for Prof. Jürgen Maurer.

Erwin holds an MSc in Political Economy of Late Development from the London School of Economics (LSE), an MSc in Economics from the University of Lausanne and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Geneva.
